Fall of Night Rachel Caine Books
Fall of Night was quite interesting. Claire is finally going to MIT. It’s been her dream and now that it’s happening, she isn’t sure how to feel. Morganville has been her home for nearly two years, but she does need space from Shane, and she knows she’ll regret not taking this chance while she can. But once she gets there, things aren’t at all how she expected. Her BFF is a completely different person, something is off about the professor she’s working for, and there are vampires. You can take the girl out of Morganville, but you can’t take Morganville out of the girl.I definitely liked Fall of Night better than the previous book, as it finally starts moving things forward again. Claire got her wish to escape Morganville and the vampires who rule there, but she’s certainly not safe. There are strange men searching her room, official types lingering in the lab, and her roommate has a stalker. Not to mention that someone isn’t really who they say they are and just want to use Claire for her genius. A lot is happening even though Claire is suppose to be away from all of the vampire drama. It’s like she’s a magnet for trouble.
The one thing that I didn’t really like about Fall of Night was Shane. He follows Claire to Cambridge. I don’t really get why. Yes, he misses her, but still. It was weird. Especially since he agreed to give her space, and yet he’s practically stalking her at her new home. I was hoping that the alternating POV would keep us up to date on what’s happening in Morganville, but that wasn’t the case at all.
Fall of Night was a good sequel, and it had me pumped up for the finale. Claire got a taste of freedom, but it wasn’t what it was cracked up to be. So it’s time to head home, and hopefully find freedom and safety there.

Fall of Night Rachel Caine Books Reviews
As Claire begins her life long dream of studying at MIT, it seems she cannot escape her Morganville ties. She learns that she is no safer in the world away from vampires, and that humans can be as dangerous if not more dangerous than the vampires she left behind. Her old friend and now roommate from high school no longer the person Claire remembered. The changes in both of them makes living together a challenge. Claire is not sure if she made the right choice and finds herself wondering if she should go back to Morganville.
Claire's faces quite a few challenges in this story, but she will not have to face them alone thanks to her friends that love her. Claire, Shane, Michael and Eve are always looking out for and taking care of each other. I don't want to give to much away, so I will end it with this was a great read in this continue saga of the Morganville Vampires.
Today's review is on Fall of Night by Rachel Caine
If you look back and check out my review for book 13 you'll realize that though it didn't end with a major cliffhanger, it did leave me wanting to know what was going to happen next. Thankfully I didn't have to wait long to find out.
I think I have loved Shane from the very first book. It's not just his "bad boy" attitude, but all of the hardships he has suffered in his short life. He is the true "underdog". And though he is emotionally scarred, he will do anything to protect those he loves. Especially Claire. But under that smart mouth and quick reflexes there lies an insecure little boy with a heart of pure gold.
It's no secret that Shane has always had a jealous side, and that jealously got out of hand in the last book. Instead of believing Calire; the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, he choose not to. Needless to say, this created a big "bump in the road" in their relationship. So when Amelie let's Claire have the option to attend MIT in Boston she decides to go for it. But as the saying goes, you can take the girl out of Morganville but you can NEVER take the Morganville AWAY from the girl.
Wanting to live a "normal" life, Claire is excited to begin working with Professor Irene Anderson. She never expected that Anderson was actually Myrnin's previous assistant, and when the Professor takes an interest in VLAD she becomes confused. Enter the men in black suits, and all hell breaks loose. Thank goodness Shane followed her to Boston. (To watch out for her from a distance that is.)
The war between the humans and the vampires has begun, and it has started with Claire and her friends. This time though, they all may not make it out alive. Even with Oliver and Myrnin's help.
Now I can hardly wait for book 15!!
